Hello, I’m Linda, a registered nurse working in the ICU. I joined the COVID-19 team in October 2021, during the peak of the pandemic in Quebec, Canada. In the first month, I witnessed a range of symptoms and saw how differently people reacted to the virus.
A month later, my friend Barbara contracted COVID-19. She woke up with a high fever, weakness, a cough, and difficulty breathing. Despite taking over-the-counter medications, her symptoms worsened by the second day.
I encouraged her to go to the hospital, but the rising number of deaths there made her afraid she wouldn’t survive, so she chose to manage her symptoms at home as long as possible.
On day three, Barbara discovered a bottle of "Colloidal Silver" in her medicine cabinet. It was a gift her brother had brought her from the U.S. about a year earlier. The label claimed it could kill viruses and bacteria. Barbara called her brother for advice, and he told her it was useful for treating colds and flu, especially in the early stages.
Following the label’s instructions, Barbara began taking the Colloidal Silver. To her surprise, over the next two days, her symptoms didn’t worsen. She then ordered more colloidal silver, along with "Immune Booster" capsules and an inflammation-reducing supplement. A week later, the products arrived, and her condition remained stable.
After three days of using the new products, Barbara’s fever subsided, her weakness was much less intense, her cough had almost disappeared, and her breathing was much easier. By day 12, she had fully recovered to her normal health.
As a nurse, I was initially skeptical about what she was taking. However, one thing that caught my attention was the colloidal silver. In the hospital, many surfaces, including bed rails and door handles, are coated with copper because copper is known to kill viruses and bacteria. This made me think—could colloidal silver have similar properties?
Having witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of COVID-19, I know that a healthy diet and regular exercise help maintain a strong immune system, which is crucial when fighting off a virus. While some health products can support the body during illness, they should not replace medical treatment when needed.
Barbara eventually got vaccinated about 40 days after recovering from COVID-19. Remember, we are all part of a larger community. Protect yourself and others by maintaining distance, washing your hands regularly, and practicing empathy and patience during these challenging times.
Stay safe.
Linda
