Hello, I’m Marie. If you saw me now and then compared my photo from five years ago, you wouldn't recognize me. I'm from Dallas, Texas. Back then, I weighed 210 pounds and stood at 5'8", which was the heaviest I’d ever been and the worst I’d felt. I never really exercised and lacked motivation to do so. I spent most of my time eating or watching TV.

 

At 42, I started feeling unwell, and something just didn’t seem right. With a family history of cholesterol problems and diabetes, I decided to get checked out. The doctors told me my LDL cholesterol levels were dangerously high and blocking my arteries. They recommended medication, a strict diet, and exercise five times a week.

Seeing my uncle suffer from the same issues and ultimately pass away terrified me, so I made changes. I started eating healthier, followed a keto diet, and began exercising more. I enjoy walking, so I either go to the park or the countryside trails, and on rainy days, I use my son's Wii console to work out at home.

However, during my next doctor visit, I was told that while I had lost some weight, my LDL cholesterol levels were still high. Since I have a weak liver, the medications I was on were only making things worse. The doctors prescribed me new liver medications, but I didn’t understand how taking more drugs would solve the problem.

A month later, I attended my cousin’s wedding in Mexico City. While waiting for a taxi, I noticed a health nutrition store with a poster about cholesterol. Curious, I went inside and spoke to Manuel, a licensed medical doctor and naturopath. He recommended that I stop taking the liver medication, cut the cholesterol medication in half, continue exercising, manage stress, and follow a healthy diet plan with a detox program.

Dr. Manuel explained that our bodies produce about 75% of cholesterol, with the remaining 25% coming from food, and that stress also plays a role. He told me that taking external medication could block my body’s natural cholesterol production, making me dependent on the drugs. Instead, he suggested I focus on restoring my body’s ability to produce cholesterol naturally.

When I asked about my elevated LDL levels while following the keto diet, Dr. Manuel explained that it's common for people on keto to unintentionally reduce fiber and vegetable intake. He advised me to add more vegetables and healthy fats to my diet, or to take natural fiber supplements like fish oil or flaxseed oil.

Back in the USA, I tried several detox products with only minimal results. I called Dr. Manuel for guidance, and he recommended a “Body Detox” to cleanse my arteries and organs, along with “Cholesterol” capsules to help restore and maintain healthy cholesterol levels. He also suggested I take “Liver Detox” capsules to clear cholesterol from my liver and “Blood Detox” capsules to flush it out.

Five months later, after following the keto diet, taking the recommended supplements, detoxing my body, and exercising five times a week, I reached my goal:

 

I now weigh 150 pounds, and my LDL cholesterol is at a healthy 85. I feel 15 years younger!

I no longer need medications, only supplements every other day to maintain my liver health, cholesterol, and arteries. Looking back, I realize there’s a much better way to take care of your body than relying solely on medications. The key is to match your diet with the right supplements because getting it wrong can lead to negative results.

Detoxing my liver and organs was new to me, but it makes sense—our bodies need care, too. My advice is to really listen to your body, as understanding it better will help you make the right changes to your diet and exercise routine.
